Blooming Jellyfish
Writing to create spaces within spaces.
Jelly is a creative and professional writer, and a curious artist who is from the Southwest side of Chicago and Pilsen community. Currently studying Creative Writing under the English major at Dominican University. Printmaking and drawing takes up time to be a different kind of minor free thinking, experimental space.
Stella Veritatis
“Star of Truth”, Stella Veritatis is Dominican’s student run literary magazine offering a place for students, faculty, and alumni to submit creative pieces. From poetry, prose, and recently visual works, the magazine helps portray a selection of human and impactful experiences.
In the small experiences of daily life, I find the capsules of questions left unanswered, experiences left unsaid. The general maintenance of the self is always a demanding task, a use of energy that sometimes blinds us from the miraculous things that happen everyday. Or, rather, all of the things that can possibly happen in a person’s day.
